Sunday Go To Meetin’

The Vale Christian Church built of native stone and dedicated in 1911.

The Vale Christian Church was organized in 1896 with thirteen charter members. Without a permanent church building, members met in several locations. In 1907, work began on the sandstone church from hand-shaped stone hauled by horse drawn wagon from a quarry that still exists on the south side of Rinehart Butte. The Church was dedicated in 1911. The building survived the fire of 1945, the flood of 1957 and was in continuous use until it was destroyed by fire on October 30th, 1996. This mural was made possible in part by an anonymous donor.
